What is an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are high quality work-based training programmes for young people who want to earn while they learn and gain practical and transferable skills that today’s employers are looking for. Unlike university or college you will get paid while you learn and can achieve graduate level qualifications and earning potential in a fraction of the time.

How long does the apprenticeship last?
Your apprenticeship will last for approximately one year. This may be a little longer if you need or request additional support.
Will I be paid?
Yes… to be an apprentice you must be in full-time work (minimum 30 hours per week) and you must be paid the apprenticeship wage which is currently £2.68 per hour.
Do I need to find my own job?
No… (but!) LMPQ has a team dedicated to working with local employers and securing work opportunities for apprentices. Part of the LMPQ apprenticeship offer is to match you with one of these employers. However if you already have a work placement opportunity or would like to apply to a specific organisation then you are welcome to do so.
What will I need to pay for?
LMPQ will provide you with reference books, study guides, a tool kit and all the equipment you will need to complete your course… these will be provided free of charge. There are no additional costs to undertaking an LMPQ Advanced Apprenticeship.
Are there any exam fees?
No… LMPQ will pay these for you.
